Wasn’t receiving any emails to hotmail account on iPhone or IPad as of yesterday. Kept spinning/searching. Still not working on my iPad. Deleted hotmail account on iPhone and can’t re add because it says can’t verify. Turned off iPhone and IPad and still no luck.

This matches a known issue affecting Outlook.com/Hotmail accounts in the iPhone and iPad default Mail app.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. On the iPad, open Settings > Mail > Accounts.
    2. Tap the Hotmail/Outlook account.
    3. If the account is still present, open Account Settings or tap the Password field, enter the correct current password, then tap Done.
    4. Open the Mail app and check whether mail starts syncing.

If the iPhone account was deleted and cannot be added back because it says it cannot verify, remove and re-add it as Outlook.com:

    1. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts.
    2. If the account is partially present, delete it.
    3. Go back to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
    4. Choose Outlook.com.
    5. Complete the Outlook.com sign-in flow.

    If re-adding still fails:

    1. Remove the account again.
    2. Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.
    3. Restart the iPhone or iPad.
    4. Add the account back again through Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Outlook.com.

If a sign-in error appears, recover the Microsoft account first, then add it again in Mail. The documented sign-in issues include:

If email works on a computer but still not in Apple Mail after these steps, the issue may be with the iOS Mail app. In that case, Apple Support is the next path, or use the Outlook mobile app instead.
