Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hi @Danespin
I understand why this is frustrating, especially after all the troubleshooting you have already completed.
If File > Account shows Product Activated and your Microsoft 365 Family subscription and features continue working normally, the “Upgrade your plan” button does not appear to indicate an activation failure. Similar reports show the prompt appearing for users with active subscriptions, so further deletion of activation tokens, caches, or Office components is unlikely to help.
- Sign Out and Sign Back In
- Open Word and click File > Account.
- Click Sign out under User Information.
- Close all Word windows, re-open the app, and click Sign in using the Microsoft account tied to your active plan.
However, this is a community forum, and moderators cannot escalate cases directly to the Microsoft 365 engineering team. Please submit feedback from Word through Help > Feedback and include a screenshot, your Office version/build, and confirmation that the subscription is active.
You may also contact Microsoft Support if you want the account and subscription reviewed. Please do not post your email address, order details, or other private information publicly.
Thank you for your understanding and time
