Printing from outlook hijacked by one note

Been trying to solve an issue from my mum.

Essentially since one of the updates was installed onenote seems to be the default printer for outlook, I have tried the usual fixes setting actual printer as default, unticking one note etc but nothing works even tried a system restore amongst others but every time I go to print it defaults to onenote not her physical printer.

I can see the app on outlook but not a way of removing or disabling only a way of adding more apps it so print jobs go to the printer she has not onenote. Any suggestions greatly appreciated !!!

    Hi

    Unfortunately when this was tried the following happened

    Went into control panel - devices and printers - It doesn't do anything when you try to right click!!!!So could not do last 2 steps

    Welcome Sean Fox,

    I understand how frustrating this must be, especially after already trying the usual printer settings, disabling OneNote printing options, and even performing a System Restore. 

    Before suggesting more advanced steps, could you confirm: 

    1. Is your mum using Outlook (classic desktop app) or new Outlook for Windows? 
    2. When she clicks Print in Outlook, does the Print dialog show Send to OneNote as the selected printer every time, or does it bypass the Print dialog and immediately send to OneNote? 

    In the meantime, please try these checks: 

    1. Open Outlook and select File > Print 
    2. Under Printer, make sure the physical printer is selected rather than Send to OneNote 
    3. Click Printer Options (if available) and verify that Send to OneNote is not being remembered as the selected printer. 
    4. Close Outlook completely, then restart it and test printing again. 

    Also, please let me know whether the issue started after switching to the new Outlook or after a recent Office/Windows update, as that will help narrow down whether this is an Outlook configuration issue or an add-in related behavior.
