This may depend on Windows itself problem that can be removed by reinstallation mainly or on hardware problem.
Please check hard drive with third-party CrystalDiskInfo tool and show its window.
How long ago did you defragment your hard drive?

Ive been having problems with my audio jack so samsung support suggested i done a reinstall from inside windows, it found and started downloading the 25h2 repair version but so far its been installing for HOURS!
In around 7hrs its now at 57%, i have checked in task manager and my 0 drive is mostly at 1% and hardly being used but ram is using around 11gb.
It is installing, but VERY slow, is there anything i can do to speed it up? its now nearly 9pm and dont want to be up all night with this.

2026-08-30T22:38:15.5533333+00:00 Hi, its a samsung galaxy book4 edge laptop and i bought it brand new in april, the hardrive has hardly been used really as havent downloaded much at all, have a few apps and a couple of songs, also a few pics stored but thats it.
It is a snapdragon x plus ARM processor though which isnt the best for windows.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to do while install is running.

2026-08-31T14:04:28.9266667+00:00 Yes, drive almost empty as laptop only really gets used for surfing the net since new, its downloading the update again even though i didnt tell it to in the background, just checked, done a google and apparently that error code and the 25h2 repair update is common.
