Blocked creating a child account

I am trying to create child accounts on Minecraft and link them to my parent account.

I am prompted to create a Microsoft account for the kids, and when I attempt to create them, I am blocked due to suspicious activity. I can't see any way to resolve this.

I am going around in circles.

This is usually an automated security block on Microsoft account creation. The supported steps are:

    1. Stop making new sign-up attempts for at least 24 hours. Repeated attempts can keep triggering the block.
    2. Try a different network, such as switching between home Wi‑Fi and mobile data.
    3. If any VPN, proxy, ad blocker, or privacy extension is in use, disable it before trying again.
    4. Use a normal browser window instead of Incognito/InPrivate mode.
    5. If the block appears during verification, try another verification method connected to the account.
    6. If nothing changes after 24 hours, wait longer if possible, up to 1 week, because some blocks clear automatically.
    7. Use the Microsoft sign-in helper troubleshooter to identify the sign-in problem and available support options: Start

For child accounts specifically, once the account is created, parental consent is required for access to many Microsoft services. If a child later sees a message that access to games and apps not published by Microsoft is blocked, the parent can manage that here:

    1. Sign in as the parent at https://account.live.com/mk.
    2. Select Manage this child's access to third party apps.
    3. Select Enable access.

If the child account already exists but consent still fails, one reported resolution was that the parent account country and child account country did not match.
