Forgotten Password for Admin Account

I am able to log into my regular account, however I cannot remember the password for the separate admin account that was set up. Because of this, I cannot download any updates or apps.

I use my laptop for work and have some documents I need on it so I cannot do a full factory reboot in case I lose these. Does anyone know how I can reset the admin account password?
