If the subscription was disabled because the saved card expired, the next steps are:

    1. Sign in to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services.
    2. Find the affected subscription and select Manage.
    3. Check whether the subscription now shows Active, Expired, or another status.
    4. If needed, update the payment method linked to the Microsoft account and subscription.

Important limits from Microsoft support content:

    • If the subscription is prepaid, the payment method for that subscription cannot be changed. The payment info can be updated only for buying a new subscription after the prepaid one expires.
    • If the Microsoft 365 subscription was bought through a third-party retailer, the payment method must be managed through that third party.
    • If a Microsoft 365 app shows “ACCOUNT NOTICE. We've run into a problem with your Microsoft 365 subscription and need your help to fix it.”, that is often caused by a declined payment such as an expired or cancelled card.

If the card was already updated and the subscription is still not re-enabled, use Microsoft support contact flow:

    • Go to Contact Microsoft Support
    • Enter the problem and select Get Help
    • If needed, select Contact Support to be routed to the best support option

If accessibility support is needed, Microsoft also provides the Disability Answer Desk.
