Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
What is happening matches documented scheduled prompt behavior when connected experiences are disabled.
If connected experiences are turned off for the organization, users:
- Can’t see the scheduled prompts icon or prompt management menu.
- Can’t manage previously scheduled prompts.
- Still keep sessions for previously run scheduled prompts.
- Still have previously scheduled prompts continue to run until the schedule finishes.
That exactly fits this scenario: the Schedule Prompt option disappeared, but the existing scheduled email summary is still running.
The most relevant checks are:
- In a Microsoft 365 app, go to File > Account > Account Privacy > Manage Settings.
- Confirm All connected experiences is turned on.
- If available, also confirm Experiences that analyze your content is turned on.
- If the account is organization-managed, the IT admin must verify the cloud policy Allow the use of connected experiences in Office is not set to Disabled.
Important admin detail: disabling connected experiences removes scheduled prompt visibility, but does not stop already scheduled prompts immediately. They continue until their schedule ends.
Also note:
- Scheduled prompts require a Microsoft Copilot license.
- Scheduled prompts are available in Copilot Chat, Microsoft Copilot in Teams, and Outlook for the web and Desktop.
- Users can create up to 10 different scheduled prompts.
- Legacy scheduled prompts created during the public preview may still run in Power Automate and won’t appear on the Microsoft Copilot scheduled prompts page.
If IT says nothing changed, the strongest documented explanation is still a connected experiences setting at either the user privacy level or org policy level.
