For OneDrive personal, Restore your OneDrive can undo changes from the last 30 days only, and it requires a Microsoft 365 subscription. There is no supported self-service restore for more than one month using that feature.

    What can still be checked:

    1. On the OneDrive website, open Recycle bin and look for the missing files.
    2. Check whether the files are in Personal Vault, because those items do not appear in search results.
    3. Confirm the correct Microsoft account is signed in, because files may be in another OneDrive account.
    4. If there were many deletions, overwrites, or malware activity and the loss happened within 30 days, use Settings > Options > Restore your OneDrive.

Important: when restoring OneDrive, any files or folders created after the restore point date are moved to the OneDrive Recycle Bin.

If the files are older than the 30-day restore window and are not in Recycle Bin, Personal Vault, or another account, the provided guidance does not include another supported recovery method for personal OneDrive.

    1

What happened to your files on OneDrive, did you delete those files yourself?

    2

Log into OneDrive online in a web browser (https://onedrive.live.com/).

Check the Recycle Bin to see if your missing files are available in there.

    3

If the files are not in the recycle bin, if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, click the gear icon at the top right of the OneDrive web page and select 'Settings.

On the left, click 'Recover My OneDrive' and try using that process to recover your files.

    4

If that process is unsuccessful in recovering your files, there is no other native process available to recover your files on OneDrive, you will need to use some 3rd party recovery utility to try to undelete and recover the files on your PC.
