Hi @SR
I understand that SharePoint cannot open through the Microsoft 365 launcher and displays ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS. This error occurs when the launcher repeatedly redirects between sign-in or SharePoint pages but cannot complete the connection, which may be related to the launcher path, account provisioning, or SharePoint license assignment.
Here are a few steps you can try:
- Try accessing SharePoint directly
Instead of accessing SharePoint through the Microsoft 365 launcher, try opening the organization’s SharePoint site directly:
https://<your-tenant-name>.sharepoint.com
Replace <your-tenant-name> with the organization’s Microsoft 365 tenant name.
Alternatively, try accessing the OneDrive landing page:
https://<your-tenant-name>-my.sharepoint.com
After signing in, select the app launcher in the upper-left corner and try opening SharePoint.
Please confirm whether either direct URL can be accessed. This information may help determine whether the behavior is limited to the Microsoft 365 launcher or also occurs when accessing SharePoint directly.
- Check the SharePoint Online license and account status
You can ask your Microsoft 365 administrator can verify whether the affected account has an active license that includes SharePoint Online and whether the SharePoint Online service is enabled under Licenses and apps.
The administrator can review this in the Microsoft 365 admin center:
- Go to Users > Active users.
-
- Select the affected user.
- Open Licenses and apps.
-
- Confirm that a license containing SharePoint Online is assigned.
- Expand Apps and check whether SharePoint Online is enabled.
-
If the account was recently created, relicensed, restored, or had its User Principal Name changed, the administrator may also need to verify whether the related account and service changes have finished processing.
I hope this information helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reply, and I’ll be happy to assist where I can.
