how to change date of birth if your child date of birth ir registered

i cannot change my date of birth and its still under my son account, i tried to change it using edit/account profile but its locked and i cannot change date of birth

as a parent how can i remove it, even i tried to go to family option as well but cannt do it from there as well.

Is your Son an adult and the organizer of the Family group?

Please note that only the Organizer of the family group can change the D.O.B in a child account.

If your son's and your account's D.O.B are the same and it is considered a child account, you will not be able to change the D.O.B yourself.

Here's what you can do -

Invite an adult account to the Family group. (If you don't have one, create a new dummy adult account)
Make the adult account the Organizer of the family group.
The Organizer can edit the D.O.B. in your account, then make you the Organizer again, and then remove that account from your family group.

(OR you can leave the existing family group.

Then, join another family group by asking the organizer (Adult account) to send an invite to join the group.

So, the Organizer can make changes to your Profile.

If the account is being treated as a child account, the date of birth cannot be changed from the child account profile. It must be changed by the adult Microsoft account that gave consent.

Use this path:

Sign in with the adult Microsoft account that gave consent at https://account.live.com/mykids.aspx
Select Edit this child's personal info.
Update the date of birth and follow the prompts to save it.

If the account shows "Parent or guardian consent is required for this account", first do this:

Go to https://login.live.com to start the consent request.
Select I'm a parent or guardian.
Sign in with an adult personal Microsoft account. If needed, create a separate adult account.
Select Yes, I agree on the consent form.
Select Family Safety to complete.
Go back to https://account.live.com/mykids.aspx and select Edit this child's personal info.

If the child account does not appear there, or Edit this child's personal info is missing, these are the documented reasons:

Consent was granted by another adult.
Consent was given using a different Microsoft account.
The account is no longer classed as a child or is above the statutory age in that country or region.

A child account cannot remove its own consent or edit its own date of birth while it is below the statutory age.

If sign-in or consent issues are blocking the process, use the sign-in helper or Contact Support. Support agents cannot directly change account details.
