I set up a new PC and somehow my account for this PC has been linked to a Microsoft Family Safety account for strangers I do not know (I think we have the same last name?) - I am locked out of my computer because my account is set up as a child with zero screen time so I can no longer log in to my PC. I cannot find a way to message the organizer and ask to be removed.

I do not have a way to remove myself or find the contact information. Can someone please help me with this?

    Hi,

This is super strange since you must have gotten an invite.

At https://family.microsoft.com, are you able to leave the Family group by clicking 3 dots > Leave group?

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

Thanks, you are at the right place.

Are you running an admin account on the PC if you can check?

Thanks, you are at the right place. May I know if you are running an admin account on the PC or standard?

Windows 11: Go to Settings → Accounts → Your info. If it shows Administrator under your account name, the account is an administrator account; otherwise, it is a standard account.
