A family of Microsoft products that enable users to capture, organize, and reuse notes electronically.
Common causes in this scenario are Bookings availability settings rather than a visible conflict on the staff calendar.
Try this end-to-end check:
- In Bookings > Staff, open each affected staff member and confirm Events on Office calendar affect availability is enabled. If this is off, Bookings won’t use that person’s Outlook availability.
- Verify the blocking events are on the staff member’s primary Outlook calendar. Bookings only reads the primary calendar, not shared or secondary calendars.
- Check the Outlook event status for test appointments. Only events marked Busy block time. Events marked Free, Tentative, or Working elsewhere can still appear available.
- Open the affected service and review Availability Options:
- Bookable when staff are free makes the service available only when assigned staff are available.
- Not bookable prevents customers from booking the service at all.
- Custom hours uses the service’s own weekly schedule.
- If a special date range was configured for the service, check whether Set availability for a different date range was used and whether that range was set to Not Bookable. A date-range override can hide otherwise open times.
- If staff selection is disabled, Bookings still assigns an available staff member automatically at random based on availability. If no times appear even in that mode, the service availability configuration is the next thing to verify.
- After making changes, wait a few minutes and refresh the booking page. A short delay can occur before Outlook changes are reflected in Bookings.
What to look for specifically:
- Service accidentally set to Not bookable
- A date-range override blocking the days being tested
- Staff availability being checked against the wrong calendar
- Outlook events not on the primary calendar
- Events on Office calendar affect availability disabled for one or more staff
If the service should be temporarily unavailable only on certain days, use the service setting path: Open service settings > Availability Options > Set availability for a different date range and review or remove any blocking range.
