I am being changed annually for something that my kids did years ago. Every January I am charged what I believe is a an XBOX subscribtion. The XBOX no longer works, I have a microsft account which doesnt show any annual charges and I cant seem to get any assistance. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Try this in order:

    1. Check all Microsoft accounts that might have been used for the Xbox purchase.
      • Go to Services & subscriptions and verify whether recurring billing is active and what the subscription end date is.
      • If there is more than one Microsoft account in the household, sign in to each one. Charges may be tied to a different account than the one currently being checked.
    2. Check order history for the January charge.
      • Review Order history and look for a purchase for the same amount around the date of the annual charge.
      • If the charge does not appear in that account’s order history, it may be on another Microsoft account using the same payment card.
    3. Use Investigate in Microsoft account payment options.
      • On the Manage your payments page, select Investigate to look into an unrecognized charge.
      • This is specifically recommended when the charge is not recognized or does not appear under the expected account.
    4. Consider the common causes Microsoft lists for unexpected charges:
      • A subscription still has recurring billing enabled.
      • A family member used the card.
      • A previously declined charge was retried later.
      • An in-app purchase or other Microsoft purchase was made.
    5. If the charge still cannot be matched to any account, contact Microsoft Support.
      • Go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, and then Contact Support.
    6. If there is any chance the card was used without permission, contact the bank or card provider immediately to prevent more charges.

If the Xbox no longer works, that does not by itself stop billing. The charge stops only when the subscription is found and recurring billing is turned off or the subscription is canceled on the correct Microsoft account.
