    Hi Joe,

    If purchased from Microsoft,

    Copilot says this:

Fastest way: Request a refund from your Microsoft Account

If you bought Windows 11 Home digitally from Microsoft, you can request a refund directly:

Sign in at your Microsoft account: https://account.microsoft.com

Go to Payment & billing → Order history.

Find your Windows 11 Home purchase.

If you see “Request a refund”, click it and follow the steps.

Choose a reason like “Purchased wrong edition” or “Hardware issue”.

    Submit the request.

Refund approval is more likely if the license hasn’t been used or activated, but even activated licenses can be reviewed case‑by‑case.

📞 If the refund button doesn’t appear

Microsoft sometimes hides the refund option depending on region or purchase type.

    Use Microsoft Billing Support:

    Go to: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Type Billing

    Click Contact support

    Select Windows as the product

Follow the prompts to reach a support agent

    This is required if:

    The refund option isn’t shown

    • Your license was activated
