Microsoft keeps downloading wrong MS Offfice from what I purchased

I install the MS Home office 2024 one time purchase, no subscription with MS office, excel and powerpoint and it keeps installing MS office, excel, powerpoint, teams and one note and also requires a 365 subscription. I just want what I paid for with NO subscription.

If you have the microsoft email you have made purchase with then, you can download your version of office by going to: https://account.microsoft.com/ and login with relevent email and the after you are on your profile, look for subscription tab, in this tab, it will show all the products purchase via that email.
Edit: I am slower than AI with responding.

I did this and the installed download is titled Microsoft 365 and office 081720 home student installer. So it clearly wasn't the Office 2024 one time purcahse that I purchased on Amazon through MS.

It doesn't make sense, when you purchase office product, it's name doesn't include 365, microsoft 365 is entirely different category which require time subscription. can you share the same or similar screenshot where your purchased product is listed while hiding your personal details.

It seems there is already a device registered or signed in or previous session is store somewhere in your device, as the product is for single Device only. you can refer to this article:

I started the process on my old laptop, but then my laptop was not up-to-date and could not update to a new operating system so that I could download the software so I bought a new one and started the process over again. So it never was installed on that old computer so I’m not sure how they could say it was used.

This usually happens for one of these reasons:

The apps were installed from the Mac App Store. Those versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint require a Microsoft 365 subscription to create and edit documents. A one-time Office license is not compatible with Office apps downloaded from the Mac App Store.
An older Microsoft 365 install, trial, or cached Office license is still on the device, so the installed apps are picking up the wrong license state.

What to do:

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used to buy Office Home 2024.
Confirm that Office Home 2024 appears under Services & subscriptions.
Remove any existing Office apps already installed on the device, especially Microsoft 365, trial Office apps, or Mac App Store Office apps.
Reinstall Office by selecting Install next to the Office Home 2024 purchase in the account.
Open Word, Excel, or PowerPoint and sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the purchase so the apps activate against the one-time license.

Important details:

A one-time purchase of Office installs on one computer.
If the installer window says Microsoft 365 and Office, that does not by itself mean a subscription is being purchased.
If the apps came from the Mac App Store, uninstall them and install Office directly from Microsoft instead. Mac App Store Office apps are not compatible with one-time Office licenses.
If Office Home 2024 does not appear in Services & subscriptions, the purchase may not yet be linked to the correct Microsoft account. For home products, the account can be linked at https://setup.office.com.
