A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
If the photo is in OneDrive on the web:
- Go to the OneDrive website.
- Find the photo in its actual folder, not just the Photos view.
- Point to the photo and select the circle check box.
- Select Delete on the top bar, or right-click the photo and select Delete.
If the photo is in a shared location:
- Deleting a shared item deletes it for everyone.
- If the item is only listed under Shared, remove access instead of deleting it:
- Select the item.
- Select Manage Access.
- Remove the link or remove direct access.
If the photo will not delete, check these common causes:
- Make sure the item is not checked out to another user.
- Make sure there are permission to delete the item, or have a site collection administrator try.
- Check whether a retention label or retention policy is blocking deletion.
- If deleting a folder, first move or delete files inside it that are subject to retention.
- If the site has exceeded its storage limit, increase the site quota and then delete the item.
To permanently remove it, open Recycle bin in OneDrive, select the deleted photo, and select Delete.
