I am stuck in a case that Microsoft thinks is being dealt with and isn’t. I can’t access a person to speak to because of this. How can I chat on line or on phone? At the moment I can’t access these choices

Use Get Help to reach a live support option.

    1. Open Get Help in Windows, or go to Get Help on the web.
    2. Enter a description of the issue.
    3. If self-help does not resolve it, select Contact Support.
    4. Select the affected product or service.
    5. If prompted, choose the support category and select Confirm.
    6. Choose one of the available contact methods:
      • Chat with a support agent in your web browser
      • Provide your phone number and a support agent will call you

If the normal flow is not exposing those choices, these keyword paths are also documented in similar support guidance:

    • Search for Contact Support or Live Chat
    • If needed, search for agent support, then ignore the search results and select Contact Support at the bottom

Availability of chat and callback options depends on hours of operation, product, scenario, and subscription.

If the issue is specifically sign-in related for a Microsoft account, start with the Start sign-in helper tool. Support agents cannot send password reset links or change account details.

If accessibility support is needed, contact the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk.
