despite having purchased MSOffice home, I am required to renew subscription ( pay more)

I purchased Microsoft Office Home 2024 specifically to avoid a subscription. The product was downloaded, my key activated, and yet I am locked out of using any of the products unless I pay a subscription. I suspect the interference comes from having installed a subscription based version of MS365 years ago is the problem. But how to get around it? and of course, this POS company and it's billionaire owner cannot see reason to hire techs to help us shitty poor people with this issue. Anyone know how to fix this before I pull the hair I have left out?

What is the exact product name you bought?

Can you also check this: https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in. Do you see the specific product license listed there?

Purchase MS Office Home 1PC/MAC 2024 at an Apple Store same time I purchased a laptop. That said, weirdly, it is now working.

and answering your 3rd question, YES, I did sign in there and I did see the specific product license listed. I downloaded it because the Apple tech at the store had already input my purchase key. It was at this point when I when to use it that it continued to act like the subscription model, requiring that I pay for my subscription in order to activate
