Artifact Signing Organization/Public identity validation failed with no reason – UK company
I am setting up Azure Artifact Signing Public Trust signing for ARIES LABS LIMITED, a UK company.
Artifact Signing account: arieslabs-signing-01 Identity validation type: Organization / Public Current status: Failed Country: United Kingdom
The organization identity validation was submitted successfully, but it later changed to Failed.
The Azure portal provides no detailed failure reason, and the notification email only states that the validation status changed to "Validation Fail."
During the original identity verification process I also saw the message:
"Face Check failed"
That screen later disappeared and the verification process appeared to continue, so I do not want to assume that Face Check was necessarily the final reason the organization validation failed.
Could someone from the Artifact Signing / identity validation team please:
Confirm the exact backend reason this organization identity validation failed.
Confirm whether the observed "Face Check failed" message was responsible for the final failure or whether the organization validation failed for another reason.
Advise whether the correct recovery is to:
retry the Face Check;
remove and recreate the Microsoft Verified ID;
or create a completely new Organization/Public identity validation.
Advise whether any organization information or supporting evidence needs to be corrected before another submission.
I have retained the failed identity validation and have not deleted or recreated it because it may be required for investigation.
I have the validation ID and can provide it privately to a Microsoft moderator or Artifact Signing support representative.
My Azure subscription uses the Basic support plan, so the Azure portal does not allow me to create a technical support ticket and directs me to Microsoft Q&A instead.
Thank you.
