So camera in my 2-3y old laptop went wrong and now zoom in camera stopped. Now image is blured. Is that only mine problem? Is that was laptop too cheap?

So I make it finally manually but zoom is now OK. I had to remove part of the frame which was fairly easy on this cheap model—and turn that thing manually.

A blurry image is not expected behavior, and it is not enough to conclude that the laptop was “too cheap.” The supported causes in Windows guidance are more practical:

Check for a physical privacy issue first. A gray, blocked, or unclear image can happen if the camera shutter is closed, a privacy key is enabled, or the lens is physically covered.
In Windows 11, check whether the camera is disabled:
- Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras
- If the camera appears under Disabled cameras, select it and choose Enable.
- Note: enabling or disabling cameras requires administrator access.
Open Camera app > Settings and review camera settings. The Camera app supports changing camera, photo, and video settings, and on touchscreen devices zoom can be controlled with a two-finger pinch/stretch gesture.
In Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras, select the camera under Connected cameras and adjust available default controls such as Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Sharpness, Rotation, or Video HDR. Changes are shown immediately and saved as defaults.
If the image suddenly became fuzzy and resets did not help, a hardware check from the device manufacturer can help confirm whether the camera module has failed. For Lenovo devices, accepted guidance is to run the manufacturer hardware scan; the same principle applies to manufacturer diagnostics on other brands.

If zoom specifically stopped working, Windows documentation only states that zoom in the Camera app may be supported on touchscreen devices using pinch/stretch gestures, and newer Camera app updates improved zoom slider support on more cameras. That means zoom availability can depend on the camera hardware and app version, not just Windows itself.

If the lens is clean, privacy features are off, the camera is enabled, and the preview remains blurry in both Camera and meeting apps, that points more toward a camera hardware problem than a normal Windows setting.
