I am trying to convert several existing Microsoft Planner Basic plans into Premium plans. I have a Microsoft Project Plan 3 license, but I cannot find any option to upgrade or convert the plans.

    Thank you for the detailed information. Based on what you've described, the conversion option should normally appear when an eligible Basic plan is opened and Premium views are available. Since you're not seeing the Upgrade, Convert to Premium, or Add Premium views options, I'd like to confirm a few things:

    • In Microsoft Planner on the web, can you navigate to My Plans in Planner, select Create a plan, and verify whether you can choose the Premium plan options when creating a new plan?
    • Otherwise, in one of the affected Basic plans, do you see a Timeline view option? If so, please try selecting Timeline and let us know whether you're prompted to upgrade the plan to Premium.
