can't download app from a shared subscripton

If the subscription is being shared correctly, the apps must be installed under the invited person’s own Microsoft account, not from the subscription owner’s account.

Try this:

1. Confirm the subscription type. Only Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Premium can be shared with another person.
2. Accept the sharing invitation. In the invitation email, select Accept, then select Join now. If already in another Microsoft family group, leave that group first before accepting.
3. Install the apps after accepting. After joining, select Start using Microsoft 365 apps, then select Install and follow the prompts.
4. If the invitation was never received:
   • Check that the correct preferred email address was used.
   • Check the junk mail folder for a message with "Microsoft 365" in the subject.
5. If sharing still does not work, check these limits and conditions:
   • Only the subscription account holder can share the subscription.
   • The subscription holder must have an active Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Premium subscription.
   • The subscription can be shared with up to five other people.
   • The invited person cannot already be part of another shared subscription.
6. After installation, sign in to Word with the same Microsoft account that accepted the invitation.

If the apps still cannot be downloaded or Word still cannot be accessed, the subscription owner may need to remove the share and send the invitation again.
