A fully managed end-to-end service for digitally signing code, documents, and applications. (formerly Trusted Signing)
- For individual identity validation in Artifact Signing, accepted IDs include government-issued IDs such as passports, driving licenses, or ID cards. An Australian government-issued driver licence fits that accepted ID category.
- Yes. The flow must complete successfully. For individual validation, the process requires creating and then presenting a Verified ID through Microsoft Authenticator. A successful completion ends with Verification Successful, and then the Azure portal status changes to Completed after a few minutes. If the Verified ID is missing or the face-check/presentation flow is not completed, that can explain why the request did not complete successfully.
- If the verification email link has already been used or expired, it cannot be resent for the same request. The documented action is to start a new identity validation request. If the validation email says Failed, the guidance is also to create another identity validation request. If assistance is needed for the overall Artifact Signing identity validation, use Azure Support or Microsoft Q&A with the artifact-signing tag. For issues specifically in the AU10TIX verification experience, contact AU10TIX Support directly.
- Before presenting the Verified ID, the documented flow is:
- Open the verification link from the Azure portal when the status is Action Required.
- Complete the trusted ID-verifier steps.
- After that process completes on the mobile device, select Open Authenticator.
- Scan the QR code shown in the browser.
- In Microsoft Authenticator, select Add to add the Verified ID.
- Back in the browser, when prompted to present the Verified ID, scan the QR code again.
- In Authenticator, select Verifiable Credential and then Share.
- The browser should then show Verification Successful.
For the specific symptoms described:
- “No Access — this link has been used already” aligns with the documented behavior that a new link cannot be resent on the same request once the original link is no longer usable.
- “Card missing” is consistent with the Verified ID not being present yet in Microsoft Authenticator at the point where it needed to be presented.
- Because the Azure portal now shows Failed, the supported next step is to delete the failed request and submit a new Organization + Public identity validation.
