Microsoft Planner

 I have just subscribed to Microsoft Planner.  I had to create a new account email because Planner is only linked work or school. this strange email: "[Moderator note: personal info removed]@BENSON127.onmicrosoft.com".  This email has no address to go to. Nothing comes to my normal address.  I cannot access Microsoft Planner.

The system of authentication is so dreadfully confusing that I can not get any sense out of the process you are making me follow.  I just needed software attached to my current email and available on my computer.  Your system has basically prevented that.

I need someone to contact me and fix this whole situation.

The address ending inonmicrosoft.com is a Microsoft 365 tenant account that is automatically created when a new Microsoft 365 Business subscription is set up. It is not intended to replace your personal email address, and it does not automatically forward messages to your regular email account. Because Microsoft Planner is a Microsoft 365 work or school service, it requires a work or school account to sign in. That is why the system created the onmicrosoft.com account during the subscription process.

To access Planner, please try signing in at https://planner.cloud.microsoft using the onmicrosoft.com account and the password that was created when the subscription was purchased. If you can sign in there, you should also be able to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

Regarding contacting Microsoft directly, as this forum is a peer-to-peer community, so while members can share advice and experiences only, it doesn’t offer phone or live support. However, Microsoft Support can assist with subscription, account, and sign-in issues. You can contact Microsoft Support from Microsoft 365 Admin Center

If you can sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center using the onmicrosoft.com account, select Help & Support in the lower-right corner to create a support request with Microsoft support engineers.     Thanks for your advice. Its very kind of you to help. I think microsoft itself has got some form of major glitch. I followed your steps and all was looking good, then at the last one, the system did not recognise the email address it gave me. so onward to the help desk and the issues that will bring!
