Tenant admin has left the usa

I tried using the awful phone system. It says I'm not the tenant admin and cannot create a case. My client has a domain and needs to be allowed to change his password. How can I contact a human or submit a ticket without some AI agent?

Hi Dave,

If you can't reach a live agent over the phone, there's still an alternative: You can consider signing up for a new tenant by signing up for a trial and submitting your application from there.

To set up a new tenant, follow the steps below:

Visit Microsoft 365 for business plans and pricing | Microsoft 365.. This will allow you to create a new tenant by following the prompts provided. Once set up, you'll be able to access the new tenant's admin console and submit a support ticket requesting to speak to the Data Protection team on behalf of your previous tenant.

Follow the guided setup process to create a new account for a new tenant.

Once your tenant has been created, you should be able to access the support portal and submit your ticket referencing your locked account without any further issues.

Ticket support: In the Microsoft 365 admin center, > Help > Support and Support. You can submit a support ticket in https://admin.microsoft.com/#/support/requests

When you submit a ticket, having your order confirmation, purchase email, and any proof of ownership handy will help them assist you faster. Pleas be ready to share:

  • The email address used for the purchase
  • Any payment confirmation details
  • The username
  • Transaction information, such as the last four digits of the card number, the type of card used, the cardholder's name, and the card's expiration date.

For your safety, please do not reply to this thread with ticket information. The official support line is the only secure way to manage this data.

Remember to cancel the trial subscription after your issue is resolved, as this will help you avoid any accidental charges. You might prefer the following resource for detailed instructions: Cancel your Microsoft enterprise subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center | Microsoft Learn

I hope this provides enough clarity and helps you stay inform with your current situation.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
