For a Microsoft 365 business account, edit the payment method in the Microsoft 365 admin center:

  1. Go to the admin center.
  2. If using Simplified view, select Products > View payment methods.
  3. If using Dashboard view, go to Bills & payments > Payment methods.
  4. Select More actions (...) for the payment method to update, then select Edit.
  5. Update the available details:
    • Name on the card
    • Billing address
    • Expiration date
  6. If editing a credit or debit card, enter the security code.
  7. Select Save.

The card number can't be changed. If the account number changed, add a different payment method and then delete the old one.

    Hello

I noticed that AI is giving you the instructions to update a commercial/business account's payment method.

If you need to update it on a personal account, you use this method instead: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/update-a-microsoft-account-payment-method

There can be a few unique scenarios where you might run into issues, I am not going to bore you with a list of instructions you may not need, but do let me know if you run into any specific error, let me know what it says, so I can walk you through the necessary steps if needed.
