billing info wont save

If the product key is already confirmed but the billing step keeps looping, use this order:

1. Check for a billing problem on the Microsoft account.
   • Go to the Services page.
   • Look for any overdue subscription payment.
   • If there is one, clear it first, then try redeeming again.
2. Check the saved payment method.
   • Verify the card is current on the Payment options page.
   • If the card is already saved, remove and re-add it, then try again.
3. Try the setup in a different browser or an InPrivate/Incognito window.
   • This is a supported troubleshooting step for recurring billing setup failures.
4. Check whether the subscription is already attached to the account.
   • Go to Microsoft account, Services & subscriptions page.
   • If Microsoft 365 appears there, install and activate by signing in with that Microsoft account instead of using the product key again.
   • After a key is redeemed, installation and activation use the account, not the key.
5. If the setup page says the account cannot be set up because of a billing issue, open the Microsoft account, Payment & billing page and use Change how you pay or Fix how you pay.
6. If it still fails, contact Microsoft Support through Contact Microsoft Support.

If Microsoft 365 is already listed under Services & subscriptions, the fastest path is to stop re-entering the key and install from the account instead.
