Issue with reactivating microsoft office desktop apps

I have the microsoft apps installed on my Macbook Pro laptop (ie. word, excel, outlook, powerpoint). Recently i had a notification saying i needed to reactive my account as my subscription had run out. It was strange as i brought word many many many years ago and i never have run out of my subscription before. Seemed random. I then brought the Microsoft 360 Office package, through the app installed on my device then tried to reactive the account and despite all efforts the go through the identity check using my phone number and email password it says microsoft is not able to activate at this time. I have then tried to reinstall the microsoft apps but it says my macbook pro is too old. I really need this fixed. Please help.
