I understand how concerning it is to see an ******@hotmail.ca address as a verification option for your Microsoft account.

First, confirm that you entered the correct Microsoft account address, including the exact domain, such ******@hotmail.com ******@hotmail.co.uk. Microsoft uses country-specific domains, and entering a different domain may display the verification information for another account.
If you can still access your account:
- Open the Security page of your Microsoft account.
- Select Manage how I sign in or Advanced security options.
- Review the email addresses listed as verification methods.
- Remove the unfamiliar address if it appears there.
- Change your password and review Recent activity for any sign-in attempts you do not recognize.
If the unfamiliar address appears only on the verification screen and is not listed in your account settings, use the Microsoft Sign-in Helper. Microsoft recommends this when you do not recognize any of the available verification email addresses or phone numbers.
