    Hi Terry Marshall

I’m sorry you’re having trouble opening OneDrive. Error 0x8004016c with “Can’t reach the shared library ‘OneDrive’” may indicate that the OneDrive desktop app’s sync connection is stuck or damaged.

    Please try these steps:

    1. Sign in to OneDrive on the web and check whether your files open there. If they do, your files are still available online and the problem is likely limited to the desktop app.
    2. Install all available Windows updates, restart the computer, and make sure OneDrive is up to date.
    3. Reset OneDrive:
      • Press Windows key + R and enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive.exe /reset
      • Press Enter.
    4. If OneDrive does not restart automatically, open Start, search for OneDrive, and launch it.

Resetting OneDrive does not delete files stored online, but OneDrive will perform a full synchronization afterward.

If OneDrive also cannot be accessed through the web, please tell us whether you see a different error there, as that would point to an account or service-side issue rather than the Windows sync app.

    Looking forward to your response.

    I tried C:\Program Files\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

... Looks like that works - brings me to my onedrive on my surface

but the icon on the bottom of my screens says ... OneDrive isn't connected ,,, it's spinning Signing in

    Now getting this error message
Microsoft OneDrive Sorry, there was a problem signing you in ... try again in a few minutes

    Please help - thanks!
