    Yes, Microsoft has 2 main versions of Defender for macOS:

    1. Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (Enterprise) – Designed for business and enterprise environments, this version provides advanced threat protection, endpoint detection, and response capabilities. It supports macOS 11 (Big Sur) and later, and requires configuration via deployment tools or manual installation. Enterprise users need a Microsoft Volume Licensing offer or can purchase through a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) for up to five concurrent devices per licensed user.
    2. Microsoft Defender for Individuals (Consumer) – Available for personal or family use, this version is included in the Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription. It helps protect identities, data, and devices from online threats and can be installed via the Microsoft 365 apps for Mac Suite Installer, which contains a shim application to download the full Defender app.
