    If you're using OneDrive for Education (work or school account) and the storage shows as full even though you cannot find any large files on your device, the storage consumption may be coming from items that are stored online rather than locally.     Review storage usage online

    Sign in to OneDrive on the web > Select Settings > OneDrive settings > More settings > Storage Metrics. This view shows the largest folders and files in your OneDrive and is often more accurate than checking the local synced folders.

    Check the OneDrive Recycle Bin

    Deleted files in OneDrive continue to consume storage until they are permanently removed from the Recycle Bin. On the OneDrive web portal, look for Recycle Bin in the left navigation pane > Empty both the Recycle Bin and, if available, the Second-stage Recycle Bin.

    Check file version history

    File versions can consume significant storage even when the current file appears small. Storage usage may be higher than expected due to version history > You can try to review large files and reduce unnecessary versions where permitted.
