To get down to one account with Microsoft 365:
- Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ with each Microsoft account.
- Check which account shows the active Microsoft 365 subscription.
- Decide which account to keep.
- Keep the account that has the subscription wanted for Office.
- If the wrong account has the subscription, the subscription cannot be transferred to another account.
- Cancel the subscription on the account that is not needed.
- In Services & subscriptions, select the subscription, then choose Manage > Cancel subscription.
- If OneDrive files are stored in the account being canceled, download them first. Canceling that subscription can remove access to that account’s 1 TB OneDrive storage.
- After canceling the unwanted subscription, sign in to Office apps with the account being kept.
- If the account being kept does not have Microsoft 365, buy or renew Microsoft 365 on that account after the cancellation/refund is completed.
Important points:
- A Microsoft 365 subscription or Office license cannot be moved from one Microsoft account to another.
- A Microsoft account can have only one active Microsoft 365 subscription.
