Azure Artifact Signing Individual Identity Validation – Verified ID presentation fails with HTTP 404

I am attempting to complete an Individual Public Trust identity validation for Azure Artifact Signing.
The identity validation is currently stuck in “Action Required.”
I successfully completed the AU10TIX government-issued ID verification. The AU10TIX Government Issued ID credential was successfully added to Microsoft Authenticator under Verified IDs.
The problem occurs when I return to the Artifact Signing verification page and attempt to present that Verified ID.
When I scan the “Present your Verified ID” QR code with Microsoft Authenticator, Authenticator fails with:
Error Code: 404
“The requested resource does not exist.”
“Request with requestId not found.”
The Authenticator diagnostic log also reports:
“Failed to get the Verified Id Request.”
I attempted to restart the presentation flow and generate a fresh QR/presentation session. The browser then remained stuck on “Processing…” and the identity validation stayed in “Action Required.”
The Verified ID itself appears to have been issued successfully; the failure occurs when Microsoft Authenticator attempts to retrieve/present the Artifact Signing Verified ID request.
I do not want to delete or recreate the existing validation unnecessarily because the AU10TIX identity verification has already completed.
Can someone from the Artifact Signing team advise whether this presentation request can be reset or repaired so I can complete the existing Individual Public Trust identity validation?
I can provide the request ID, correlation information, screenshots, Authenticator diagnostic logs, Artifact Signing account details, and identity-validation ID privately if needed.

2026-08-21T04:21:09.74+00:00 This issue is still unresolved and is now blocking an active Azure Artifact Signing deployment.
The AU10TIX Government Issued ID was successfully created and added to Microsoft Authenticator under Verified IDs. However, when I attempt to present that Verified ID back to Artifact Signing, Microsoft Authenticator returns HTTP 404 and reports:
“Request with requestId not found.”
The diagnostic log also reports:
“Failed to get the Verified Id Request.”
The identity validation remains in “Action Required.”
Could someone from the Artifact Signing team please confirm whether this existing validation needs a backend reset or provide the supported recovery path for this specific Verified ID presentation failure?
I would prefer not to delete and recreate the validation unless that is the official recommended fix, since the AU10TIX identity verification itself completed successfully.

2026-08-24T02:35:39.4266667+00:00 I also followed Microsoft’s documented guidance to post this Artifact Signing identity-validation issue on Stack Overflow. That question was marked off-topic because Stack Overflow considers it a customer-service/support issue rather than a programming issue.
The Artifact Signing validation is still blocked in Action Required. The AU10TIX Verified ID was issued successfully, but presenting it back to Artifact Signing fails with HTTP 404 / request not found.
Could someone from the Artifact Signing team please review this case or advise the supported escalation path for resetting the existing Verified ID presentation request?

The AU10TIX Government Issued ID was successfully created and added to Microsoft Authenticator under Verified IDs. However, when I attempt to present that Verified ID back to Artifact Signing, the MS Authenticator app loses focus and a new code is created on the web page.
