error code 0x80004004

I'm having issues with One Drive. I get the error message 0x80004004

Microsoft 365 and Office | OneDrive | For home | Windows

In the meantime, please try:

  1. Reset OneDrive:
  • Press Windows + R then type %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive.exe /reset > Hit Enter
  • Wait for a few seconds then relaunch OneDrive again
  1. Check for any sign-in or potential credentials issue:
  • On the Windows search box, search for Credentials Manager
  • Look for any entry that contain OneDrive/Microsoft 365 credentials then open OneDrive and log back
  1. Test with the web version:
  • Go to OneDrive web and sign in your account and test again to see if the error code persists
