    Hi @Morrison Faye

    Thank you for your question.

To better understand your situation, may I confirm a few points?

    • Are you trying to change the password because you cannot sign in to Teams, or are you already able to sign in and only want to update the current password?
    • Did you tried changing your password from the My Account page ?  My Account  User's image
    • When you see “A problem has occurred. Please try again,” does it appear after entering your old and new password, or before you reach the password change page?

If this is a work or school account and the password change still fails from the My Account page, please contact your organization’s Microsoft 365 admin or IT help desk and ask them to reset the password for you. In some organizations, users cannot reset or change their own password unless self-service password reset has been enabled by the admin. After the admin resets the password, you can try signing in to Teams again with the temporary/new password and follow any prompt to create a new one.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

If Teams will not let the password be changed and shows “A problem has occurred. Please try again”, use this path:

    1. Try resetting the work or school password from the sign-in page:
    2. On the verification page, enter the work or school account and complete the verification steps.
    3. If the reset page says “Please contact your administrator”, the password is managed by the organization or self-service password reset is not enabled for the account. In that case, the administrator must reset the password.
    4. If the password is rejected during change/reset because it is too easy to guess, create a stronger password and try again.
    5. After the password is changed, sign in to Teams again. Teams can ask for sign-in again after a password change for security reasons.
    6. Update the password anywhere the account is already configured, such as the phone or desktop mail app, so old saved credentials do not keep failing.

If access to the verification method is also blocked, look for Try another verification method. If no alternate method is available, only the organization’s administrator can restore access to the account or reset requirements.
