Unable to activate account Error Code: 0x0 (Office for Mac)

I am having trouble logging into my account through word and excel. After entering my email and verification code I keep getting an error code- 0x0

I can however log in through the website.

My subscription was purchased on March 16 2026. Can you please tell me how I can activate so I can proceed using excel and word. thank you

To clarify, are you using a Mac or Windows computer? If you are using a Mac, what version of macOS are you using?

Can you confirm if your license or subscription appears there and is listed as active?

Hi there! Thank you for your help...

I am using Mac Tahoe 26.5.1. It was working fine about a month ago but my laptop was so old I figured it was a processing issue so I have since replace my macbook and I am still unable to activate it. It doesn't show my license however, I have my purchase email from microsoft that has my order number.

Since you are using macOS Tahoe 26.5.1, your macOS version meets the requirement; however, please check Apple menu > System Settings > General > Software Update and install any newer update available for your Mac, then close all Office apps and go to Finder > Applications > Microsoft AutoUpdate and select Update All. After the updates are complete, reopen Word and check if the license is detected. If the issue persists, please go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and confirm whether the Office license associated with your purchase appears there and is listed as active.
