I can't access my OneDrive on my school account

I recently graduated form [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed] in July. I wasn't aware that I would no longer have onedrive access after classes ended. I did not back up all my school files yet because I thought I would have time to do it later. They essentially let you keep the email, but take away onedrive access. I contacted the Technical support through my school and they sent me some automated message telling me they couldn't do anything about it. But all my onedrive files are on my computer they just won't open. When I've done some further searching and trying to access things through the browser it says I don't have access. That I'm not the administrator on the account. I would assume the administrator on the account would be Full Sail. But I only have the automated message they sent me and I'm still waiting for their technical support to contact me so I can talk to an actual person. So I have now been trying to contact Microsoft to see what information I can get from you guys, but you don't have a phone to call. So I figured I would ask here. How can I get my files back if it says I just don't have access? I know the school changed my plan, but it seems the files are still there. They are literally ALL my school files from the past 3 years. I went for graphic design and I need those files for my portfolio. If you could help me figure out what to do next that would be great. Thank you.

Hi Jessica,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, I understand that after graduating, your access to OneDrive was revoked. At the same time, you contacted your school's support department but were informed that they could not provide any further assistance.

Since you are using an Education account, the only way to regain access to these files is to contact your school's IT department and request that they temporarily restore your OneDrive access through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center so that you can back up your data.

I understand that you have already tried contacting the school's support team and only received an automated response stating that no further action could be taken. In this situation, I recommend contacting the school's IT department directly or asking a professor, academic advisor, or administrative staff member to help connect you with the appropriate team.

Once you are able to reach the right department, clearly explain your situation and let them know that you need temporary access to OneDrive in order to back up your important academic files before the account is completely deactivated.

If you have already contacted the school's IT department and they are still unable to restore your OneDrive access, you may ask them to open a support ticket with Microsoft Support for additional assistance regarding possible data recovery options.

You can also provide them with the following documentation on how to contact Microsoft Support so that they can review it and submit the appropriate support request.
