Yes, this is legitimate. The link is on Microsoft’s official website.

It appears that you are using Office 2019 or older versions. Please check File > Account > Product Information to confirm your exact Office version. However, your Word should continue to work, but it will no longer receive security updates.

For continued security updates, Microsoft recommends upgrading to a supported version, such as Office 2024 or Microsoft 365.

Yes, the message is legitimate. The link shown in Word points to Microsoft Learn’s official Office end-of-support resources.

Based on the URL parameter VERSION=19, it appears Word has detected an Office 2019 installation. Microsoft ended support for Office 2019, including Word 2019, on October 14, 2025.

“Product is no longer supported” does not necessarily mean Word will immediately stop working. It means that Office 2019 is outside its Microsoft support lifecycle and no longer receives the normal security updates, bug fixes, or technical support associated with a supported Office release.

I would confirm the installed version under Word > File > Account > Product Information. If it shows Office 2019, the notification is expected.
