MFA account no longer exists so cannot login to azure account

Hello,

I set up a personal azure account years ago using my personal hotmail email account for login. The account was set up with MFA recently and originally I had the account listed in my MS authenticator app in which I could receive auth codes etc. That entry in MS Authenticator was deleted and now when I try to sign in to azure, I get an notification on my phone approve sign in on the authenticator app, but when I click on the notification it gives a Sign in Error " Error finding an account to complete mulit-factor-authentication..." . My sign in methods under my hotmail security page have no options for MFA, so I can't do anything there. Trying to log into admin.entra says I dont have permissions. Is it possible to get the MFA removed or reset in azure or just delete the account altogether as I would like to set it up again for development.

Thanks in advance

Rick
