To add a Logitech keyboard and get it working properly in Windows 11, use the setup that matches the keyboard type:
- If it is a wireless Logitech keyboard with a USB receiver, plug the USB receiver into a USB port on the PC.
- If the keyboard does not respond, try these checks:
- Unplug the USB receiver, wait about 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Try a different USB port.
- If using a USB hub, make sure the hub has power, or connect the receiver directly to the PC.
- Check that the keyboard batteries are fresh or fully charged.
- Make sure there is no dirt blocking the keys.
- If the keyboard still does not work, connect it to another PC to confirm whether the keyboard itself is working.
- If Windows detects the keyboard but keys type the wrong characters, add or switch to the correct keyboard layout:
- Go to Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region.
- Next to the current Windows display language, select the ellipses, then Language options.
- Under Installed keyboards, select Add a keyboard and choose the correct layout.
- If keys only work when held down for a long time, check Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard and make sure Filter Keys is turned off.
- If needed, update the keyboard driver:
- Search for Check for updates from the taskbar and run Windows Update.
- Or open Device Manager, find the keyboard device, open Driver, and select Update Driver.
If the Logitech keyboard is a K270-style model, it uses a USB dongle rather than Bluetooth.
