OneDrive access blocked due to an Acceptable Use Policy violation

I am unable to access my OneDrive account. When I try to sign in, I receive the following error message:

"Access Denied. This page has been blocked because it violates the Acceptable Use Policy outlined in the Terms of Use. If you believe this is a mistake, please contact our Support team through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center for further assistance."

I am not aware of any actions that would violate the Acceptable Use Policy and am unsure why access to my OneDrive has been blocked.

Could you please explain what may have caused this restriction and advise on the steps required to review the account status and restore access to OneDrive?

    Dear Harrison,

The error indicates that Microsoft has restricted access due to a suspected Acceptable Use Policy violation. The message itself does not specify what triggered it, so unfortunately I cannot determine the cause from the error alone. One thing worth clarifying: Microsoft's documentation notes that this occurs if any user in your organization engages in activities prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy for Microsoft Online Services. In other words, the restriction is applied at the tenant level rather than to you individually, so this may well have nothing to do with your own account activity.

If you believe your organization is not involved in prohibited activities, a support request must be submitted to restore access. I recommend that the Global Admin in your organization create a service request with Microsoft Support on the SharePoint Acceptable Use Policy page within the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation, verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can escalate it to a specialized team for deeper analysis. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin. If you don't know who your IT administrator is, please refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

I truly hope you get your issue resolved swiftly. Please know that even though I can't directly intervene, directing you to the correct, specialized support is the most effective help I can provide from my position. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please let me know if you need anything else. Wishing you all the best.
