Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
I need help cancelling an Azure subscription that I can no longer access.
The subscription is associated with my personal Microsoft account. I can sign in to the Microsoft account itself, but I cannot access the Azure/Entra tenant because of an MFA problem.
I have already contacted Microsoft Support multiple times. Two support cases were opened and transferred between support teams, including Data Protection/Tenant Recovery. I repeatedly explained the MFA problem, provided my Tenant ID, Subscription ID, billing information and proof that I own the subscription.
Unfortunately, the cases were closed or transferred without resolving the problem.
At this point, I no longer want to recover access to Azure. I simply want to cancel the subscription and stop further billing.
I have explicitly asked Microsoft Support to do this on my behalf after verifying my identity/ownership, but I have not been able to get the subscription cancelled.
My request is very simple:
VERIFY MY OWNERSHIP → CANCEL THE AZURE SUBSCRIPTION → STOP BILLING
I am willing to provide Microsoft with any reasonable proof of identity, payment or ownership.
Does anyone know the correct Microsoft escalation path or team that can cancel an inaccessible Azure subscription on behalf of its verified owner?
I cannot use instructions that require signing in to the affected Azure tenant — that is precisely what I cannot do.
Microsoft moderator: Please contact me via Private Message. I can provide the two existing Support Request numbers, Tenant ID and Subscription ID.
