how can I get a product key for a computer that my son gave me that had windows 7 on it? I have the product key for the 7 version...I loaded windows 10 from a USB that was loaded from another computer. (mine would not connect to the internet-no driver for interned) Now my key is not valid.

If that device had Windows 7 installed on it and you performed an upgrade to Windows 10, then you cannot use the Windows 7 product key to activate Windows 10, the free upgrade time period ended a long time ago, that is no longer possible, you would need to purchase a new Windows 10 licence.

If you click the option to go to the Store to purchase a Windows licence, the licenses they sell are labelled Windows 10/11 because Widows 10 and 11 share the same set of product keys, you can use that licence to activate Windows 10 and at a later time, if you purchase another PC, you can use the same licence to activate Windows 11.

Purchase of windows 10 is not available and the 11 is not compatible with computer.
