To better understand why the task details and icons are no longer displaying correctly, could you please confirm whether you are using the Microsoft To Do desktop app, Microsoft To Do in a web browser, or the To Do experience within Outlook or Microsoft 365?

If you are currently using the desktop app, please sign in to Microsoft To Do on the web and check whether the task details appear normally there: https://to-do.office.com/

If you are already using the web version, please try opening it in an InPrivate or Incognito window or testing it in a different browser. This will help determine whether the behavior is related to the current browser session or profile.

Could you also confirm whether this issue occurs with all tasks or only one particular task? It would also be helpful to know whether other users in your organization are experiencing the same behavior.

I have an exchange account and it happens with everyone in the office. In this example there are several emails and pdf attachments. the icons are collapsed in this grey bar. They are still there. I don't use todo.

Could you please confirm whether you are using the Tasks feature in Classic Outlook for Windows?

I found the following discussions where other users reported very similar behavior. In these cases, attachments were still present, but their icons were compressed into a thin vertical grey bar in the Classic Outlook task window.

Since you confirmed that everyone in the office is experiencing the same issue, it may be related to the Outlook build or update channel used across your organization rather than an individual Outlook profile.
