With regards to removing yourself from a Microsoft family group, you can only leave the group if your account is set as an adult or organizer as well. If you are a member and added as a child account then you might not see an option to leave the group. So on this case, the Organizer account needs to remove you from the group itself.
Do you see the organizer account on the group via https://account.microsoft.com/family page? You can also check the email address of the organizer account via https://outlook.live.com page > just click "Your family" > Click "Members" > then from there click the name of the organizer so you can check if he is using the right email address when he checked your account on his side.
