email migration and support

Good morning,

My domain is with Microsoft but my email storage is with LCN, i would like to have everything under the Microsoft umbrella.

Im not how i do this, and what subscriptions i need.

If your domain is already registered with Microsoft but your current email hosting/mailboxes are with LCN, you can move the mail service to Microsoft 365 without necessarily transferring the domain registration.

Generally, the migration would involve:

Choose a suitable Microsoft 365 business plan that includes Exchange Online.

Add and verify your existing domain in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Create the required Microsoft 365 mailboxes/users.

Migrate the existing email from LCN to Exchange Online so your historical messages are preserved.

At the appropriate time, update the domain's DNS/MX records to point mail delivery to Microsoft 365.

Test sending/receiving mail and verify that Outlook and other devices are connected correctly.

Keep the LCN service active until you're confident everything has migrated successfully.

The exact migration method depends on how LCN currently provides the mailboxes and how many accounts/data need to be moved. I would avoid changing the MX records before the mailbox migration is ready, otherwise new mail could be delivered somewhere you aren't prepared to receive it.

If you have only one or a few mailboxes, the process can be relatively straightforward; for a larger business setup, it's worth planning the migration carefully to avoid missing historical mail or downtime.
