My Windows 11 desktop computer doesn't show up in my Microsoft Account

I just now noticed that both of my laptop computers show up as Devices in my Microsoft Account but my daily driver desktop does not. Odd because my desktop PC has Office Professional 2021 installed and I upgraded my PC to Windows 11 Pro via paid upgrade a long time ago. I don't know if it matters but here's what I get when I run dsregcmd. I am not part of a domain or corporate IT system. This is my personal, self-managed PC.

To answer possible other questions, yes I've logged off/on. Yes my computer is fully up to date and receiving Windows updates. It is an HP Envy TE01-1177c.

I only got concerned because I noticed that Encryption is turned on and I do not have any sort of Bitlocker key backed up that I know of. I had to reinstall Windows about two years and did so from MS Media Creation tool. What should I do?

The missing PC under Microsoft account > Devices and the BitLocker recovery-key backup are separate issues. I would secure the recovery key first.

  1. Search for Manage BitLocker from Start and open it.
  2. Next to the Windows drive, select Back up your recovery key.
  3. Save it to your Microsoft account, a USB drive, a file on another device, or print it. Do not keep the only copy on the encrypted PC.
  4. Check your Microsoft account recovery-key page and confirm that the key is listed.
