One Drive at max storage on the pop up but says im only at 0.1/5gb

This usually means one of these conditions is happening:

1. The storage warning is delayed and hasn’t refreshed yet after files were removed.
2. Items in the Recycle Bin are still counting against the quota.
3. A shared folder added to OneDrive is pushing the account over storage.
4. The storage quota changed because a subscription expired, renewal failed, or a promotional storage bonus ended.
5. If Outlook.com or OneDrive storage is full, it can also affect account behavior.

Try this:

1. Sign in to OneDrive on the web.
2. Open Manage your OneDrive storage or select the Storage used link.
3. Check what is taking space, especially the largest files.
4. Empty the Recycle Bin.
5. If a shared folder was added, remove the shared folder from OneDrive.
6. Check the Microsoft account subscriptions page to confirm the storage plan is still active if storage recently changed.

What to expect:

• If the account is actually over quota, OneDrive becomes read-only and new files can’t upload, edit, or sync.
• If the storage page still shows only 0.1/5 GB after checking storage details and emptying the Recycle Bin, the warning may be incorrect rather than actual usage.
• In that case, ignore links in any storage warning email and verify storage only by signing in directly to the account page. If the account page still shows low usage, report the message as phishing and delete it.

If additional storage was purchased recently, the new quota can take up to 24 hours to appear, and if it still hasn’t updated after 48 hours, contact support.
